Macromolecules in Biological System

Abstract

<p>The present module 8 (macromolecules in the biological system) is made up of four units they are: Carbohydrates, Proteins, Lipids, and finally practical activities. </p> <p>Each unit states and analyses the basic knowledge about the structure, nomenclature and synthesis, as well as the chemical and physical macromolecular properties with biological significance.</p> <p>In the practical components, the module offers training on how to handle basic laboratory equipment and/or computer simulated exercises about techniques for synthesizing, separating, purifying and determination of physical constants of the compound.</p> <p>The module has the duration of a total of 120 hours.</p>
